The rotary evaporator is a widely established thermal separation method in the Lab. If larger quantities have to be distilled, concentrated or dried, the use of industrial rotary evaporators is the next step. The scale-up is particularly easy and a big advantage - the process parameters can be directly adapted whereas the rotation speed adjusted to the flask size.

If working in the 6 to 20 litre flask format or even in the 20 to 50 litre format - your process can be developed and optimized in the small scale investing into a higher throughput.
